Description
I've been working in a support worker role for the last two years, but I've known I love helping people since I was a teenager. I assisted my parents in taking care of grandma and I saw the joy on her face whenever I assisted her with things around the house.
I have a strong work ethic, I have plenty of experience in helping people. The experience I have gained in life so far, both personally and professionally, I feel, will ensure that I carry out the role of a Support Worker to the necessary standards. I enjoy my work as I feel comfortable assisting people. I really enjoy making a difference to people’s lives, and I also gain a tremendous amount of job satisfaction when I can visibly see the difference my work is making to others.
I believe my biggest strengths as a support worker include patience, organisation, and communication. I used my organisational skills to ensure no one was left out, and my communication skills came in handy when clients started to tell their stories.
I have experience working with children, young adults and the elderly and hope to become a social worker one day.
I like to create for myself a great work life balance. Cooking and Travel are my passion. I’ve been to 7 countries so far, and I’m not done yet! I love learning and adapting to new cultures, finding commonalities between people everywhere, and just trying a bunch of new foods.
